The recipe for success is placement over power here. If your ball is slicing or hooking, it will likely ride the slopes of the fairways and drift into trees. Even when your ball remains in the short grass, you're likely to face uneven lies and stances at Sugar Hill Golf Course. The round starts with a dogleg that sets the tone. Numerous doglegs, some of which are quite unique, flow with the terrain and hook around stands of mature trees. A number of water hazards also factor into play. On both the 4th and 12th, a pair of par 3s, you must fly a lake to reach the green. On the 12th, you must not only carry the lake, but also a large bunker that blankets the front of the putting surface.
