The club was originally formed in 1931 by 6 founding members, before being officially recognised by the R&A in 1934. Measuring only 5,801 yards, this is a friendly par 69 making it both playable & enjoyable for players of all abilities. The nature of the moorland surroundings helps the course to freely drain, creating firm fairways during the summer months as well as some of the driest during winter. Lush fairways & immaculate putting surfaces create one of the most manicured courses in the area. Stanedge Golf Club take great pride in being one of the most relaxed & welcoming golf clubs in the area, creating the perfect setting and atmosphere for all visitors to enjoy their golfing experience. This is helped by the fact they do not operate around a council or committee, meaning changes can be quickly implemented to keep up with the modern-day golfers needs and expectations. Friendly clubhouse staff will assist all visitors with a great selection of beers, spirits, wines, soft drinks and an extensive breakfast, lunch & dinner menu for before & after your round.
