The 9-hole Links at Rainbow Curve Golf & Country Club is the chief amenity of The Links at Rainbow Curve apartment complex in Bentonville, Arkansas. Since opening in 2009, this regulation-length layout has amassed a devoted local following and earned a reputation as one of the best 9-hole tests in northwest Arkansas. Golf Advisor has had The Links at Rainbow Curve on its list of the Top Courses in Arkansas. The locals who play here praise its fun, challenging and varied layout, its intriguing greens, and its excellent playing conditions. With four sets of tee boxes, The Links at Rainbow Curve can be taken on from as short as 2,187 yards and as long as 2,880 yards. The par-35 routing features three par 3s, four par 4s and two par 5s. As you make your way through the playing field you ll pass beside apartment buildings and skirt the perimeter of the complex. The Links at Rainbow Curve's generous fairways make for a user-friendly game. Since three of the holes line up with adjacent fairways, players can often recover from a stray shot. Pine trees add definition to the playing corridors, but beware that the apartment buildings are not fully shielded and they are in range on some holes. Meanwhile, for most players, the layout's large, strategically placed bunkers and a series of small ponds that come into play on four holes pose a greater threat to scoring. The Links at Rainbow Curve features fast, multi-tiered greens. Fine course conditions have long been a source of pride at the club. Normally balls sit up nicely in the fairways and the greens roll true. Many players opt to walk when they play The Links at Rainbow Curve. Most of the elevation changes on the course occur on the 1st and 9th holes, but otherwise the layout is pretty flat. Practice facilities at The Links at Rainbow Curve are limited to two putting areas. There is no driving range. The small pro shop features a limited amount of merchandise as well as candy bars, chips and gatorade. Though residents of the complex can play for free, most of the tee time slots are filled by public players.
